Jan. 6: Today is Sunday, so you know what that means; church!!!!!! Yes, today we woke up really early to have breakfast and go to the Viana boys choir, and church at the same time. After church it was raining so we went to a couple museums. One of the museums was just for artifacts from Ephesus in Turkey. The city of Ephesus was famous for the Temple of Artemis (completed around 550 BC), one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and we are going to be in Ephesus in a month. We also went to a museum of armour and one of musical instruments all in other parts of the Hofburg Palace. For dinner I had ribs. Now we are just chilling (in my case sketching). Good Bye and Good Night.

Jan. 5: We just got back from the Magic Flute and Isa is a little pooped so she asked daddy to do the blog. This morning the three of us visited yet another part of the Hofburg palace. This glass wing is used to keep butterflies and small children. Isa wanted to stay until a butterfly landed on her but after a couple hours she gave in to the call of McDonalds. I did not last that long with the butterflies and went off to see some architectural highlights of Vienna (Wagner's Bank and Hunterwaser's museum and apartements). This evening we saw The Magic Flute which Mozart composed here. The story in this opera has love and happiness achieved thru the help of Isis who Isa is studying for her Egyptian history - small world.

Jan. 3:
Today I woke up late and went to a Mc. Donald's. Then mum and dad went to pick up tickets and meet a cat. Then we all went on bus tour of Vienna and stopped at the Schonbrunn Palace. The palace had lots of gold and our guide had some funny stories about the Austrian empire that was run from here. One storey was how Maria Theresia got her nickname "the mother-in-law of Europe" by marrying off her children (she had 16) to other royal families including Marie Antoinet to Louis XVI. Thus she made the Habsburg empire the biggest in Europe not thru war but thru weddings. I also got a cute shirt with two cats and a mouse. Then for dinner we went for sushi. The sushi was so good even dad said he would go again. Now we are reading The Hobbit and knitting till bed. Bye!

Like I said I would recap you about the Adventures of New Years eve.

It was so very crowed, but on the brig there was just plain chaos. Fireworks were going in all directions just above our heads, there were thousands of people setting off fireworks, broken glass and champaign strewn about (it was sort of like a battle field of party).
