Oct 14: Mugaritz
Today we got up and had a leek and pancheta fratata. Then we got ready to go to church. After church was over we took a long drive to go to the 3rd best restaurant in the world, Mugaritz. We met the head chef and she started us off with a pig blood macaroon which was OK - thought it had a weird taste but that was the blue cheese. We had a 20 course meal and then we have our guest blogger, aunti Suyin:

Olla - this is su - we had lovely twenty course meal at mugaritz - we got to see the kitchen and meet the chef - the food was fantastic and the service was excellent - the first course was a piece of paper that we spread olive tamponade on and ate - below you can see isa eating her edible napkin dessert - we also went to mass in spainish - we only got the gist of it - it rained very hard today - very much like vancouver but not quite - the perkins are home-sick - please visit them - visitors get to guest-blog

  1. Hi One & All
What does the paper taste like? Was it hard to swallow? That was quite a meal, you must have been stuffed after they meal. When do you start your walk? It sounds like an interesting walk.
Aidan was here last night for dinner and left for school early this morning. We enjoyed seeing him after his trip

  2. Paper tasted like the host at church but with the olive spread it was nice. It was not hard to swallow, it was just like bread.

We just finished the first day of the walk today.
