Feb. 17: EPHESUS - Is a major ancient city. First, we went to see where Mary had lived her last years on earth. It was only a small two room house. We lit candles just outside the house. When we were there we had some water rubbed on our hands from three fountains. Fountain one was for wealth, the second was for health and the third fountain was for love. Then we went to Ephesus, which is a huge ancient town, only about 20% of Ephesus has been excavated. We saw so many cats there and dad has a new fondness for cats. Then we saw one on the seven ancient wonders of the world, the Temple of Artemis, but there is only one pillar left from the fire. We also went to the basilica of St. John where the Apostle is buried. Then we went to watch Turkish carpets being made.

  1. I wonder if the Ephesians had cats as pets back in the old days
