Aug 17:  We started with the national gallery and saw a couple of Vincent Van Goghs paintings in the gallery's permanent collection. Then on to the Edinburgh Castle. The Castle was the main event today. Roaring Meg, Afternoon tea, crown jewels, St Margret's chapel and a show in the armoury.  We had dinner at Tom Kitchen's restaurant and he came by our table and asked what I wanted and made a special pasta just for me with bacon.

  2. The tea service looks lovely - can you please find out what makes 'high' tea 'high'?

    1. "High tea"really means an evening meal but is sometimes wrongly used to describe a fancy tea.
