Today we started off by going for Dutch pancakes at Sara's pancakes. They were good but very big. After the great and big pancakes we took the canal boat to the Riksmuseum, then after lunch we went to the Van Gogh museum which was totally my style! (if you want to see my essay on Van Gogh then write me a comment and I will add it) Then when we got home after some walking we rested for a while before going for dinner at Restaurant Christophe. During dinner there was a very loud lightning storm and pouring rain.
When we were in Amsterdam on our way to Tanzania- only for a day we went to The Riksmuseum and the Van Gogh . He is one of my favorite artists. I'd love to see your essay.

Some of my favorite paintings are Starry Night, which I saw at the Museum of Modern Art, and Sunflowers, by Vincent Van Gogh. Vincent Van Gogh has created beautiful art. I think he is one of my favorite painters, because Vincent has had a interesting, and difficult life. I love his painting style, and painting techniques. Vincent also has great paintings that I love!
Vincent Van Gogh had a troubled life, this is one of the reasons he is so interesting to me. Vincent was born in 1853 and he died 1890. He had a mental problem that started in 1888, and he suffered from a variety of types of epilepsy, physical attacks, and delusions. His mental problem caused him to cut off a bit of his ear, after he cut off a bit of his ear he felt a little better and that’s when he painted Starry Night. He had a vary troubled life and in the end shot himself. He survived, but died a little latter from the wound. He only ever sold one painting in his life time!
I love Vincent Van Gogh’s style, and it’s cool how many paintings he has done in his life time. Vincent Van Gogh taught him self how to draw. He had amazing talent for still life, and used small short strokes in many of his paintings. Because of his techniques, he is considered an impressionist, meaning he painted visual impressions of his theme. His doctors gave him medication that caused him to see yellow or yellow splotches, which may have been the reason he liked the color so much, and used it a lot in his paintings. In his life time Vincent Van Gogh created 860 oil paintings, more than 1300 water colors, drawings, sketches, and prints.
I have three favorite paintings by Vincent Van Gogh, and I like each of them for different reasons. I like how Starry Night has a relaxed feeling to it, the swirling movement, and how he managed to make it feel like you’re awake and dreaming at the same time. In the painting Sunflowers, I like the bright colors, and the realty of it. I also like the painting Lilies, because it makes me feel like it’s summer time even in the winter.
Vincent Van Gogh is one of my favorite painters. He had a sad, rough and interesting life. The style and techniques he used in his paintings are beautiful. He has created many of my favorite paintings. Even though Vincent Van Gogh only sold one painting in his lifetime he is now one of the most famous painters of all time.
