March 12: Isa is coming down with a cold so dad is filling in today. Meiko and I started the day with a 20 minute climb uphill to a little town called Castelmola. Lost in it's tinny little streets we asked a local for directions and he ended up opening up the church for us to view, taking us for coffee, and telling us all sorts of amazing stuff from his life including spending a couple years in a concentration camp at the end of WW2. After that we picked Isa up and walked further down the hill for lunch and some more exploring of Taormina. Isa sprained her ankle on the way down and really started feeling her cold after the big climb back up but with a few well wishes from home she should pull thru.
