April 12: Since we were up so late last night was a sleeping in morning! Then I did lots of homework. It was afternoon when I left the hotel to go to a museum. The museum was of the history of the town. Bologna was a city thousands of years ago and many interesting things happened here like the first university in the world, lots of brick towers, and the invention of Baloney. Today was a warm day and on the way to the museum we saw a fountain of Poseidon, my favourite greek god. Then we had a small meal from the hotel, and now we are in bed again. Bye.

I imagine the Bolonese towers are for defense. Is this true? Can one go inside and look around and climb up to a window or to the top?
ReplyDeleteThe city was full of the towers in the renaissance because of families fighting and prestige. Mom and dad climbed up one of the remaining towers and shot a picture from the top looking down that you can see on the blog.
