April 4: Today we went to Civita di Banorolo, to see a really small town disconnected from the bigger town. There are no cars in Civita di Banorolo so it is peaceful, but there are lots of cats. The town was built on the very top of a small hill created over millions of years by receding waters, rivers and weather. When we left the town we stopped for lunch just on the other side of the bridge. When we got back on the road we drove to Orvieto, to see the caves. Half of Orvieto is underground, and we took a tour of two caves. We also saw a very big Cathedral made of white and black marble so it looked striped. We walked through the town and had some of the best gellato I have ever had, I had terramisĂș, and yogurt. Then we went back home and had a small dinner. Now we are reading, blogging and relaxing. Bye for now, TTYL.

  1. amazing places. Is the ice cream right up there with the big three great Italian gellatos of Venice, Fiorenzo or Rome?
