Sept. 13: Today we first went to the Natural History Museum at Le Jardine Des Plantes, then we went to a botanical garden and saw some animals at the zoo! It was nice to see some animals, I miss Coco and Delta. We had a Moroccan lunch nearby, a really good place with cute birds flying around and eating our couscous. I thought it was a great meal, even though I thought I would not like Monacan food, turns out I do. After the zoo we walked back near home and went to a concert at Sainte-Chapelle. The chapel has some amazing stained glass windows, the walls are all practically the stained glass, it was beautiful. The Soloistes Francais performed the Pachelbel Canon, which is one of my favourite pieces. Now we are at home eating or blogging. Tomorrow we are going on a day trip to Champagne. Good night see you soon!
Bonjour, ca va? The Rose windows at the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Chartres are also rather beautiful, worth a day trip if you like that kind of thing. I'm always amazed by the Architecture of these early medieval and Gothic buildings, the artistry of human skill all those years ago is to be revered!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you are also enjoying some very nice weather. How much longer are you staying in Paris? Where to next? Shiralle
Reims today and Chartres on the way out of Paris = so much great stained glass. On to Bordeaux in a couple weeks.
