May 10: Today we started off our day by going to the Praha history museum. It was a small pathetic museum, but we learned some history. Like many city museums we have seen in Europe this one shows primitive people leaving traces starting 30,000 BC. 7000BC people started farming (we just saw the best example of this in Serbia at Lepenski Vir). By 1000BC Celts dominated Europe, however Greek and Roman culture did not come this far north. German tribes pushed the celts out and in 921AD King Wenclas (the good king from the christmas carol) united the area with Prague as the centre.  In the 1300s Charles IV was made Holy Roman Emperor with Prague as his castle. In 1918 Czechoslovakia was created and in 1993 the Czech republic separated. After the museum we walked to lunch and the Cubist museum. Then we walked home with a stop at an outdoor concert with Celtic music.
