May 21: Today we went on a day trip on the S Bahn to Potsdam, which is not too far outside the city of Berlin. This is where Fredrick the 1st and the 2nd built their palaces, and it's a UNESCO world heritage sight. There was a beautiful garden that gave us lots of ideas for our garden at home. We spent a long time walking through the big garden. Then we went into Schloss Sanssouci which is the palace built by Fredrick the 2nd. We were lucky to get the sun in today, because it almost started to rain while we were leaving. We passed by a smaller version of the Branden Burg gate. On our way back to the hotel we stopped for dinner at a (no good) sushi place. Tonight we are going to watch Lord of the Rings before bed. Good Night.
